Research consisting of the collection of useful data for the development and implementation of intervention programs<\/p>\n

\nThe formative phase in Mozambique built on the experience gained in Zambia<\/a>, and was conducted in a much shorter timeframe, i.e., within 4 weeks over June and July 2024.<\/p>\n

It took place simultaneously in the provinces of Sofala (Districts of Nhamatanda and Buzi) and Inhambane (districts of Zavala and Jangamo), benefiting from support of the NTP, and the collaboration of 3 research units namely INS-CISPOC<\/a> in Maputo, INS-CIOB<\/a> in Beira and NIOI in Inhambane. \n<\/p>\n\n\"DecideTB\n

\nOne to 2 facilities were visited each day. Through the observations and interviews collected within the health facilities, districts, and communities, we were able to assess the human resources and technical capacity for TB diagnosis at low levels of care, and to engage with all key stakeholders, including TB focal points and community leaders.<\/p>\n
